Yoga
Cielo started to practice yoga in 2002 when she was in her second year of university. She was fascinated about this ancient art of the body, mind and spirit. Her curiosity drew her to complete a 200 hours Hatha yoga training in 2005 and another 200 hours yoga training of Ashtanga based vinyasa yoga in 2006. In 2008, she traveled to Kaivalyadhama in India, the oldest yoga Institute in the world, for another 200 hours advanced teacher training course. She started teaching yoga since then and keeps learning and growing as a yoga teacher. Cielo’s teaching style is lively and fusion. As she keeps learning various body-mind practices in her life, she is integrating different layers of body energy map.
Taichi & Qigong
After the teacher training in India, Cielo began to explore other healing modalities in her own tradition - Taichi. This ancient internal martial art practice is so mysterious to her. To experience the most authentic teachings, she decided to embark on a journey to the chen village, where the Chen- style Tai Chi originated. She ended up staying there for 3 months, training intensivly every day. Later upon returning to her home town, she met up with the Chen-style Tai Chi national champion and studied Taichi and Health Qigong with him daily for another three years before immigrating to Canada in 2015. She continues her study on Taiji and Qigong. She studied in Wudang mountain to learn Taoist practices in 2024.
Acupuncture and Herbology
Cielo started this journey from 2012 in Shanghai Chinese Traditional Medicine University. She continues her study after moving to Victoria. She believes the energy map underneath Taichi and Qigong is the Yin-Yang theory, meridian system so Chinese traditional medicine is a profound support for all her practices and teachings. he finished her Traditional Chinese Medicine program in 2023 and becomes a Regisitered TCM practitioner in 2024.
Thai Massage and Acupressure
Cielo’s interest to massage was brought out after practicing yoga for a few years. She realizes that yoga helps to explore the relationship between one’s own body and the mind, while Massage explores the dynamic relationship between the giver and receiver. She went to Ching Mai, Thailand in 2010 and had a two-month full time training in Traditional Thai Massage and Hot Stone Massage in Thai Massage School of Thailand. This ancient practice focuses on restoring balance and harmony within the body by applying rhythmic pressure along energy lines and incorporating gentle stretching movements. Thai massage is renowned for its ability to promote relaxation, increase flexibility, and alleviate muscle tension. The mindfulness and intention of its Buddhism tradition enhance the therapeutic benefits of the massage and create a holistic healing experience for both.
